Everyone came dressed up and prepared for a fun Halloween night at Guides. I dressed up as a spark with pigtails, my Spark shit and a pink fleece. We began with some halloween charades and a skeleton reconstruction relay race.
Then, each patrol chose one member to mummify. What we didn’t tell them is that the mummies would be running a relay race…
Once those three games were done, we let the girls “torture” each other wish marshmallows and powdered donuts. We tied strings around each piece of food and, in pairs, the girls challenged each other to go bobbing for sweets. Basically, they got to hang the treats above their partner’s mouth while the partner attempted to eat it without using her hands. As expected, the eater ends up with a sticky, sugar covered face. Then, they switch places for payback. Muhahahahaha!
The spookiest portion of the evening involved a haunted hallway that the girls travelled through blindfolded and in pairs. There were icky things to put their hands in and streamers hanging from the ceiling. We had fun warning them not to step on the dead bodies and that we hoped that we might see them on the other side someday!
After the trauma, they got to eat some halloween candy and leftover chips from camp. You wouldn’t want them not to get enough sugar for Halloween, right? I’m sure parents love us!
